Thank you for your interest in Fudan International School.
Fudan International School is proud to be part of the High School Affiliated to Fudan University (HSAFU). Following Fudan University's school motto – "learn extensively, inquire earnestly and reflect with self application" – HSAFU has formed its own tradition based on devotion, earnestness and creativity. For more than half a century, HSAFU has developed in students’ academic excellence and creativity, earning the school national acclaim.
Supported by this rich history, Fudan International School was founded in 2006. Under the governance of the HSAFU principal, FDIS has developed an autonomous, international curriculum. Spanning grades 1 through 12, FDIS is proud of its own distinguishing characteristics:
Student-centered approach. We pay more attention to each student's health and development. Through academics and our rich student activities program, our teachers' commitment to supporting each individual creates a strong bond between FDIS students and teachers.
Multicultural environment. We welcome a diverse community that mirrors the world around us. Our staff members hail from America, Europe, Oceania, Africa and Asia, and our students represent more than 20 different countries. Our community embraces this diversity as one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of life at FDIS.
Small class sizes. Throughout the day, the average number of students in each classroom is about fifteen. We believe that children stand to benefit greatly from our smaller classes, in which each individual receives personal attention from his or her teacher.
