Fall Culture Festival, November 24 - 3:15-4:30 pm

The Student Government Association will host Fall Culture Festival on November 24 in the student lounge and main lobby during 9th period and after-school activity time (3:15pm-4:30pm). Here, we will provide American-style turkey, stuffing, and other scrumptious Thanksgiving foods. We will also present some background information on the historical basis of this holiday, why we celebrate it and the traditions that most people partake in.

We will also have students from different cultures and backgrounds bring in foods from their traditional fall celebrations. Students will also share other pieces of his/her culture, be it music, an informational poster, artwork, photographs, etc. Everything will be set up on display and FIS students will be free to walk around and peruse all the interesting tables. Whether you celebrate Chanukah, Dawali, Remembrance Day, Labor Thanksgiving Day, or Thanksgiving, we welcome all contributions!

All students are welcome to attend the event free of charge and will only have to pay if they would like to eat the SGA-provided meal.
